Belief Like Bey

I believe we all have a voice inside that speaks to us and tells us that we are more and can do more than what we've settled for. Yet, so few people really tap into who they truly are and live the life that their potential could lead them to. I just watched Beyonce's Live from Roseland "I Was Here" video and had chills and fought back tears through the entire 4 or so minutes. The song is probably my least favorite on the album. But, I was totally captivated as I watched snapshots of her experiences.

Even greater than talent and determination is the ability to believe that the voice inside is a real one; one worth following.

Feeling like a PMP..go on brush your shoulders off

Few things are as inspiring and motivating as crossing an accomplished goal off your list Today, I am my muse. A goal first thought, then written, planned, then pursued, prayed about, and now accomplished. After 3 months of studying and preparation, I passed the 4 hour, 200 question Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. Success breeds the desire for more. So it's on to the next one; I've got goals galore!

That Tebow "Magic"

  [feyth]  Show IPA
noun
belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.
mag·ic
  [maj-ik]  Show IPA
noun
the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of incantation or various other techniques that presumably assure human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of natureCompare contagious magic, imitative magicsympathetic magic.

I guess they are pretty similar in meaning. While many enjoy watching Tebow to see just how long he can possibly keep up this charade; I enjoy watching him because I find power in the possibilities of faith. How awesome is it that we are actually all "magicians?" Most of us untrained and or oblivious, but still magical.

Tribute

Just as I thought I was wrapping up with my blog adventures for the day, I learned that Heavy D. passed away today. After a few nostalgic moments thinking about how I played "Is It Good To You" over and over again which was no small feat in the early 90s, I checked Twitter to see what was being said about him. The very first tweet I saw was a retweet originally written by Heavy D. 16 hours ago. It simply read "BE INSPIRED."

Saddened by his untimely departure. But, excited about the "good omens" (reference from The Alchemist) his tweet represent. Rest in peace Overweight Lover!

How It Starts

I've been thinking about this blog for a while now. As silly as it sounds, my hold up for launching was that I struggled to find the right name. This is as right as it gets and the time is right now. Today, I am my own Muse.

I welcome you to take this journey with me. I invite you to share. So, let's go.

What or who is your Muse?
